Can’t connect with your audience? Try this.

Tell them what to do, flat out.

“Write this down,” Jim Rohn used to tell his crowds before sharing a key piece of content. He was serious about his material, and he wanted to make sure his audiences captured it, not just heard it.

I learned countless things from Jim Rohn when I worked with him promoting his seminars. This one strategy is something I use to this day. It’s a differentiator.

Don’t be one of those presenters, trainers, or public speakers who doesn’t hold their audiences accountable to capture what you’re telling them. It’s your crowd. Take control. Tell them to “write it down.”
